Listen to the online radio of Over the West Online Radio live, which was founded in November 2023 by Maria McCormack. As a recording artist releasing music since 2019 Maria seen a massive gap first hand in the Irish radio Market for emerging artists. It is next to impossible to get Irish radio stations to play the lesser known emerging artists. The difference from years ago when a singer would have to set off to Dublin to a recording studio, there are more and more studios across Ireland where artists are recording every day of the week and in turn more and more people releasing incredible music. Over the West Online Radio is for the emerging artist first and foremost with a jukebox that only plays Irish emerging artists outside of live shows. It currently has over 300 artists getting their music played daily outside of live shows. Over the West Online Radio has live shows in the evening from a team of 12 DJs all of whom incorporate their jukebox artists in their shows. The shows atm start with an All Irish Show on Thursdays which showcases their Irish up and coming talant through a recommended playlists and album of the week and artists interviews. Friday they have The David Dee Moore Show which is a folk world music show, later that evening is the Ben Mc Cormack show which is a contemporary Independant Irish music show. There is a Diggin the 70’s rock show, The Late Shift on Sundays which is a rock show, The Monday Club is a mix of 80’s 90’, and 00’s classic hits. They have the alt indie show on Wednesdays called The Drop, Franks Big Bizaar, Staish by Dj Dano and more Irish Shows to come in the near future which will include a clar Geailge from Diane Cannon covering all their emerging Geailge Singers.
