About 8Radio
Listen to the online radio of 8Radio live, which was launched in 2013 by Simon Maher, the founder of the famous Phantom FM. The station is based in Dublin and currently broadcasts online only. However, it plans to switch to FM in 2023 to celebrate its 10th anniversary. 8Radio plays the best new and classic music, primarily from the alternative genres, around the clock. The station's slogan is "Playing the music we like", which means it features a diverse repertoire ranging from synthpop of the 80s to brand new Irish and international gems, as well as post-punk from the 70s. Both international and Irish music make up the station's varied playlist.
