About Tipp FM

Listen to the online radio of Tipp FM live, which launched in 1989 as a local commercial radio station operating from its Clonmel studios. At launch it covered only north and south-east parts of its home county, but after a 2003 expansion, its cover area extended to the whole County Tipperary and partly the surrounding counties with analogue availability. The station is in the ownership of Tipp FM.
The radio serves its home county as the most reliable local station which keeps up discussing the locally relevant topics, politics and also the listeners can have their opinions expressed as phone-ins vary the talkative shows. The news-bulletins supply the listeners hourly with local, national and international news, sports, local travel and weather information. Besides the verbal segments of the programme structure the radio doesn’t lack music in its broadcast either, mainly pop, country and Irish music from the last 40 years fills the wavelength, but there is no real genre-restriction in the line-up.
The station kicks in the weekday mornings of the Premier county from 7am to 9am with the "Good Morning Tipperary" hosted by Andrew Looby. The Saturday mornings’ "Saturday Breakfast" are under the command of Peter Conolly from 7am to 9am.
