About Red FM

Listen to the online radio of Red FM live, which launched in 2002 in its Bishopstown studios. Red FM is owned by Bauer Media Audio Ireland. Red FM Cork caters to the younger demographic in County Cork and is the most youthful among the county's flagship radios. This is by design, as Cork's Red FM's primary target age group is the 15-34 segment. It has become the most-listened-to radio station in its home county and even outperforms heavyweight national radio broadcasters in Ireland. To maintain and enhance this exceptional popularity, the broadcaster structures its programme in a dynamic and engaging manner. The primary component of the radio's blend is music, featuring the best and most current pop hits, as well as some older favourites. The middle element is lively speech in talk shows, with easy and humorous conversations that don't delve into serious topics but maintain an atmosphere that complements the music playlist. The final element is a mandatory component for legally operating radios: hourly news, sports, travel, and weather reports, presented at a minimal level. As an added treat, traditional Irish music is featured on Sundays from 7pm to 10pm in "Green on Red With Mags Blackburn". The broadcaster ignites weekday mornings with "Red FM Breakfast with KC", hosted by Keith Cunningham, airing from 6am to 9am.
