Ian Dempsey announces Today FM’s poll results

The results are in for The Ian Dempsey Breakfast Show End of Year Poll. The survey asked Today FM listeners to vote for their 2020 favourites across a host of categories including music, movies, TV, podcasts and new to this year’s poll, ‘Covid Hero of the Year’ and ‘Hope for 2021’ categories. Today FM launches Club Champions campaign

Today FM has launched a nationwide campaign giving sports clubs the chance to win a brand-new sponsored team kit. ‘Club Champions’ is a yearlong community initiative that will see one club awarded a Today FM branded jersey kit each month. Kicking off this month, Today FM is inviting entries from clubs and teams across Ireland, from all sports, ages and gender. Communicorp Media suspends advertising on Facebook

Communicorp Media is to suspend all paid advertising for its brands on Facebook platforms for the month of July, in support of the “Stop Hate for Profit” campaign. Today FM hosts virtual concerts during the summer

Today FM listeners will now be able to experience ‘Virtually Live’ concerts for an hour a week every Saturday night. JNLR: 81% of the population listen to radio every day

The latest radio listening figures show 81% of the population are tuning in every day, which translates into weekday figures of 3.2 million listeners. More than half tune into their local or regional station and 43% listen to a national station. Among the younger, 15 to 34-year market, 71% listen daily. Communicorp’s Jessica Maciel gets show on BBC Radio 1

Communicorp presenter/producer Jessica Maciel is one of 35 people to be selected to host a radio show on BBC Radio 1 in the UK over the festive period. The station asked for demos from anyone with radio experience back in October, and received over a thousand applicants. Jessica, who joined the Communicorp Media in 2015 is set to cover Scott Mills’ weekday slot of 1-4PM from December 29th- 31st. Today FM has announced a new line up of voices to its weekend schedule including Anna Geary, Pamela Joyce and Claire Beck.
