Schedule changes at Cork’s 96FM and C103

A number of changes to the programme schedules at Cork’s 96FM and C103 have been announced for 2021. Ken Tobin will move from the 12noon to 4pm slot on Cork’s 96FM to take over Cork’s More Music Breakfast on C103. He replaces Simon Murdoch who will replace Ken on Cork’s 96FM. Ken is 96FM’s longest serving presenter in the same time slot, whilst Simon cut his teeth on 96FM as a weekend presenter before getting a daily show on iRadio. He joined C103 a couple of years ago to present Cork’s More Music Breakfast. Both will start their new roles on 04th January 2021. iRadio gets a new sound from Wisebuddah

iRadio is celebrating a new 10-year licence term with a new package of idents from Wisebuddah in London. The new jingles are a mixture of resigns from the Fun Radio package, and custom cuts. Bespoke tracks have been produced for news and sport bulletins, along with elements to create branded song intros. Mark Cunning, CEO, iRadio, said: “We loved working with Wisebuddah. All 32 applications for BAI scheme granted cash

The BAI has given a total of €2.5m to 32 independent commercial radio stations across the country to share awareness and understanding of COVID-19. iRadio to share a €40,000 iGrant with businesses

Twenty businesses have been chosen as shared winners of iRadio’s €40,000 iGrant prize. The successful applicants have been selected by an independent expert judging panel including former Ireland international rugby player and businessman Jamie Heaslip. Each iGrant recipient will receive a €2,000 advertising package from iRadio. iRadio, Beat and Red FM unite for streamed concert

iRadio, Beat 102-103 and Cork’s Red FM are coming together to present a special streamed concert called Heroes Aid Live to raise funds for frontline workers while also offering company and entertainment to many listeners. The iRadio team visited Crumlin Children’s Hospital recently to mark its #CareThisChristmas campaign with its annual Christmas Jumper Day in aid of CMRF Crumlin.
